Here you have it – the American People (all twelve of them, judging from the picture) are protesting government spending .. they want it under control so the “Job Creators” can start working again.
BTW – In case you haven’t heard the term about 150 times in the past few days, “Job Creators” is what the GOP is now calling rich people .. I guess Republicans just got tired of hearing Democrats toss around the term ‘rich people’ .. squawking about how ‘rich people’ shouldn’t get tax cuts and loopholes for their private jets .. while benefits for poor people get cut big time.
Yeah, the “Job Creators” created millions of jobs alright .. but they were all overseas .. where someone will work for a dollar a day to feed a family .. while the “Job Creators” rake in record profits and billions in bonuses.
Anyway, the Tea Partyers held a party and nobody came .. they were protesting Boehner’s right-wing budget proposal at a DC rally yesterday .. reporters outnumbered activists (again).
Wellll .. maybe some Tea Bags were afraid their Medicare-funded scooters wouldn’t work right in that heat .. and it looks like the Koch Bros. free busses stopped rolling .. no more free lunches either …

Yummy, one of those dishes best served cold .. especially when I remember all the hell the Tea Party raised in Summer ’09 .. shouting down people at town hall meetings, wearing teabags from tri-corner hats, carrying guns and threatening signs, vandalizing Democratic offices, breaking windows with gunshot, spitting on black Democrats as they walked to the Hill, stomping people (a cripple and a woman) who protested Tea Party actions.
All that hell was over Obama’s Healthcare act …………. which passed, and is already helping sick children.
Can you believe we have a small group of Tea Party politicians who are really intent on destroying our government .. and they don’t believe anyone who warns there will be serious consequences for their irresponsibility?
Here’s how dumb some of them are – yesterday Andrea Mitchell had a Tea Partyer on her program, and she had to school him that the debt limit increase was to pay for bills already on the tab.
Then there’s Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) who would vote for “lowering the debt ceiling” .. yeah, that’s the ticket .. Broun says it’ll “create jobs” .. no kidding.
How is it these guys have the whole country tied up in knots?
I was all het up about President Obama using the 14th Amendment at the last minute to save the country .. but he said no early on .. then I heard White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley say on NPR that all of the WH lawyers think the 14th does NOT give the President this power.
Daley implied that if Obama overrides the debt ceiling on his own, without legislation, that it would be an impeachable offense.
I keep waiting for everyone to come to their senses …
